Urinary excretion pattern of triethyllead, diethyllead and inorganic lead in the tetraethyllead poisoning.

چکیده
The fractional determination of triethyl lead, diethyl lead, inorganic lead and total lead in the urines of a patient with tetraethyl lead poisoning was performed by means of hydride generation-flameless atomic absorption spectrometry. The chemical species of lead in the urine 21 days after the exposure comprised about 50% diethyl lead, about 48% inorganic lead and about 2% triethyl lead. The fractional determination of triethyl lead, diethyl lead and inorganic lead in the urines of the patient after intravenous drip of 1000 mg of calcium ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (Ca-EDTA) only once (30 days after the exposure) was also performed. Compared with the lead output 2 days before the treatment (28 days after the exposure), the total lead output in the urine during the 12 hours after the intravenous drip of Ca-EDTA was increased to about 4 times, with inorganic lead accouting for about 98% of the increased output but with no increase in triethyl lead or diethyl lead output.

Excretion of Triethyllead in Rats
The distribution and excretion of triethyllead and inorganic lead in rats have been studied after the intravenous administration of tetraethyllead, using a new method for separating triethyllead. Tetraethyllead was rapidly converted to triethyllead. The highest levels of triethyllead were found in the liver, blood, kidney, and brain. Twenty-four hours after the administration of tetraethyllead ...
متن کاملDynamics of diethyllead excretion in the urine of rabbits after tetraethyllead administration.
The dynamics of diethyllead excretion in rabbit urine according to the dose and method of administration of tetraethyllead were studied. Investigations were made on male rabbits which were given two doses of tetraethyllead (12 mg/kg and 3 mg/kg) using intravenous and intragastric methods. Rabbits were also exposed for five hours to tetraethyllead at a concentration of 200 micrograms/m3 in the a...

A method for the determination of diethyllead in urine by flameless atomic absorption spectrometry after chelation with glyoxal-bis (2-hydroxyanil) and extraction of the formed complex with methyl isobutyl ketone is described. The method is specific in relation to both triethyllead and inorganic lead. The limit of detection was 3.2 micrograms Pb/l and the relative standard deviation in the conc...

Background and Aim: Lead (Pb) poisoning is the most common occupational poisoning that may affect family members of lead workers specially their children. The most important and irreversible effect of lead poisoning in children is on the developing of central nervous system and its evolution. High cost and severe side effects of chelating agents may result in incomplete treatment of lead poison...
